1 vacation 2 heavens - Part I - Legend Water Chalet , Port Dickson

Hmmmm... this happens so long time ago and i've yet to record it down in my blog. It suppose to be a trip to celebrating BB's birthday. Because it falls on the school holiday, we got a real hard time selecting destinations for our holiday... Avillion PD was full, Langkawi air fare cost a bomb, and Avillion Marina left only a twin bed room....
At last we finalise on these 2 new place for our vacation, 1 night in Legend Water Chalet & the other 1 night in a hidden heaven in Cyberjaya.. Kudos to BB because he found this marvellous place.
Our first destinations is the further one, Legend Water Chalet. BB pick me up from home we started our journey there... its around noon so we stop by at Sg. Besi toll for KFC Lunch....
After about an hr drive, we reach to Legend Water Chalet, its not located near the Port Dickson but towards the end of it, which is nearer to Lukut town.
The Legend Water Chalet doesn't have its own private beach but sharing it with Glory beach Resort, not really sharing, but tumpang! you have to walk out from the hotels compound and enter to Glory beach. Well, nothing to be fancy about a public sharing beach....
The Legend Water Chalet has 2 types of rooms generally, 1 is the water chalet build on the coastal stretch of Port Dickson, facing the Straits of Melacca and the other type is the common hotel rooms, namely the Premium Tower..
The only carpark is available at the Premium Tower and you have to walk some distance to the water chalet. We were greeted into a room with welcome drinks while they processing our reservations rather than get you queueing up at the reception. We were then guide to our own chalet after the check in done.
We booked a single storey chalet, each of these luxurious chalet is equip with a super comfy balinese king size bed, 1 day bed next to the balcony, open concept bath room with bath tub, a private balcony and the unique features about it is the solid glass panel on the floor...

We spend our afternoon relaxing in the room and we compete the Zuma Shooting game on BB's I Phone... I then falled asleep, i guess BB stay his afternoon up reading magazines.
I woke up after a few hours afternoon nap and BB sugested to walk around the chalet to look for afternoon tea since we only had brunch. The water chalets are arrange in terrace, it could be quite chaotic especially the evening hours when kids running around. There isn't much facilities here as compared to Avillion PD, There's only a coffee house in Legend, no place to chill out too... The swimming pool too aren't too convincing as the size are quite small and BB dun have the habit of swimming in public pool. A Singaporean family were relaxing and while their children playing wildly in the pool, its even too noisy to sit at the pool side. There are 3 jaccuzies located next to the pool, but only 1 of it is working and it seems more like a fiberglass tank with jaccuzi pump...

There is an underconstruction hotel which is going to launch end of the year. The Legend International Water Homes is the suite with private pool and garden... this is so cool and lets hope that out next honeymoon can be Water Homes... hehehehe
We finished exploring the resort merely by 4pm and our stomach alarm rang... BB suggested to drive out to dinner.. Located in Lukut isn't too convenient, we drove some distance before we could reach the town.. maybe its still early and we didn't manage to find food. BB stop by at the only shopping arcade in PD, the Billion supermarket.. We thought we could walk around at least to kill some time but no, what we can do is grocery shopping in Billion, bought beer and cuttlefish for drinking session at night. While leaving, i spotted the Lobster crackers and bug BB to buy for me~ hahahaha
We at last drive back to a seafood restaurant we spotted in Lukut. Restaurant Chardin Seaview Seafood Village.

The restaurant is located just at the seaside but with no access to the beach. Maybe its consider too early for dinner.. The restaurant is quite deserted.. There's the open dining hall and also aircon room.. We choose to sit outside. There is a huge range of aquarium with living seafood for your selection... Here you see a lot of funny edible sea creatures...

I leave the task of order for food to bb, he decided not to order crab but trying on the XXL clam/ croackles instead..

Stir fried asparagus is always my favourite, i finished this up almost by myself...

Nestum Prawn... My first time trying this and its really really nice.. Prawn nice, fried Nestum also very nice..

Yamring with Kung Poh Style squid & mixed vege filling.

The XXL Size croackles - very fishy taste not to my liking... but BB likes~!
There's a balcony there where we can get the best view of sunset in PD, i guess thats why this place is famous other than their food. Many diners will gather at the balcony to take photgraph of sunset.. I took a series of photo too....  A lady was blaiming her husband for not able to take nice shot of her and she refer me can take nicer photo from the same spot... shioknye~!
Here are my collections of PD Sunsets...

This is one of my favourite and its still my lappie desktop~

There isn't much entertainment in Lukut or even Legend, we spend our time taking a really cosy bath in the bath tub, sit at the balcony facing the serenade night sea, drinking beer and chat~!
Next day really early in the morning, i sneak out from bed trying to catch the sunrise but the weather is not permitting... i only manage to recorded the water chalet in dusk.

I crawl back to sleep with my dinosaur again till its really late then only we slowly prepare ourselves for breakfast at the coffee house. Since its quite late so the food selection is lesser.. Nothing really worth to shout about the buffet breakfast in Legend water chalet. After the meal, we both sat at the lobby and doing some facebook and email updates... Only lobby are equipped with internet access.. guess what~! we got nothing better to do but sit next to each other and chat on msn~~~ (faint)
We move back to our chalet and prepare to pack our stuff to check out and move to another destination~ yay~!

Recap of 2009 and Resolution for New 2010

Ya, i know i'm late to do this, at least a 14 days later than its suppose to be.

I dunno why i start to have this habit of setting new resolutions for myself to achieve, but its kinda nice to recall what happens to you in the last 356 days.
Well, start from my last year resolution:

1) I do make my room cleaner and tidier... But my next target will be doing my ironing job more frequent.

2) Travelling - I travelled to 4 New countries last year... Every each time i'm away, my bb cannot sleep... poor bb.

3) Debt Free - I settled one of my largest debt amount credit card last year but after a few months it start to pill up again... haiizzzzzzz

4) Least shopping!! - I failed miserably. By restricting myself to buy only 2 clothings a month is not possible at all. I only manage to do it the 1st month cause still very semangat and the rest of the months i'm seriously over quota... so, I give up!

5) I improved my relationship with my colleagues a lot~! Till we can at least chat! Mybe i care less about them or they really got improvement~! Who knows... Just let it be like that~!

6) Well, I failed this mission to do sports also.... i hardly do sports activities last year... i guess i only go to swim twice in a year!

7) Stumbled across a chance to study, but end up it didn't worked out~! Doesn't matter... i'm just getting older and older to think about studies...

Other than these, there are also happy and unhappy things.. Like i travelled twice with BB last year and spend our sweetest time together. Our relationship has definitely improved due to our understanding and givingways whenever problems started... Dun care, must give credit to myself for doing such wonderful job. He made his effort to spend more time with me despite his super busy schedule, we argue less, almost to none!!! Yay!

I had a good reunion with my family as well last year where one of a close relatives has return home to us, not only that, we have additional family members as well.

I read news.I listen to news every morning from Radio and had my dinner with news also...

I see snow for the 1st time in my lifetime and i made my snowman~!

I also improved my photography skills because of my explosure to nice
photography~!!! Teehee~! But i only limit myself to compact camera photography. So, of all these things i've done last year, i'm quite proud of myself... Now, lets see what i should do this year...

The resolutions of 2010

1) This year i will maintain my travel itinerary... Infact i've 2 in plans.. My Cambodia and Hongkong...And I'll be trying out my 1st Solo backpacking experience in Cambodia~! Wheeeee... very excited! Though many commented that Cambodia is not safe for a girl, but what to do, my friends just like to ffk~! And what even more funny is my boss said Cambodian holds machine guns everywhere~! Hahahaha

2) I wanna control my temper better... I dun want to simply scold people, even if i dun like anything, i will say it in a manner but sarcastic way... worst come to worst, i will just bad mouth them in my blog! I feel so tired and "mempersiasuikan" when my friend keep on making fuss over small matters... like scolding the crew up and down in an restaurant, and even bombarded a friend's comment for something she doesn't agree~!

3) I wanna make more friends this year... Must find more friends and widen my social circle!

4) I wanna seriously think about insurance for myself~! Previously i have never thought about insurance, but now i must plan to get some protective plan for myself.

5)Ok! Still do sports. I really need to do sports and build up stamina for my challenge in Angkor Wat!

6) I wanna renovate my house bit by bit~! Wanna put new coatings, wanna change some furniture~! And i really wish to put a bath tub in my cramp bathroom~!

7) I want to spend more time  to visit my aged uncles and aunties~!!! And be more patient with the elderly~!

8) I wanna make my sister wake up and realise things she planning to do is nuisance and ridiculous!

9) I wanna perform better at work and become an useful small potato!

10) I want to support fully to the idea of recycling and I want to educate my mum to recycle as well!

11) I want to contribute a tiny bit to donations, i want to donate blood and i want to sign myself for organ donations after my death!

Daorae Korean BBQ at USJ Taipan

One day after BB's outstation trip, he called me to have dinner at this Korean BBQ restaurant call Daorae in USJ Taipan, Its not hard at all to spot this Restaurant as its easily seen at the T Junction with blinking neon lights.
Daorae have a lot of branches in Malaysia including Hartamas and i found out from blog it even has one in Penang. The USJ taipan one is located on 1st Floor.
BB is already there waiting for me. The have 2 kind of seating option, the normal table or the korean tatami seating table each well equip with the grill tray & hob.
BB is a meat lover, he ordered a BBQ Beef & Squid while i requested to order a bowl of Ginseng Chicken Soup. Korean food usually are served together with a course of refillable appetizer.
Woooosshhh.. the appetizer are mostly braised vege with chilli & vinegar, various kind of vege in Kim chi Style, bean sproud, stir fried vege, braised seaweed, anchovies and 1 i especially like is the sweet & sour potato cubes..
Its a raining evening, so the steaming pot of ginseng chicken soup really helps to warm us up. The soup are served in a stone bowl with 1/2 chicken and there's some grain rice cook together in the soup too..The ginseng taste is so thick it even penetrated into the tender chicken meat~! yummy yummy!

Our main dishes are of course the BBQ Beef and squid. Both are marinated and there's a cook to station at your table to cook just for you. Oooohhh.... feel like a queen.. They'll first heat a bowl of garlic to let the oil absorb the garlic flavor and put in the meat to BBQ. Its cook pretty fast as the meat are cut into small & thin pieces.

There are 2 ways to eat the bbq, you can either eat it just like that, dip in the sauce or wrap it with lettuce and eat like a meat roll... The squid are well cook also, the squid are ealier  marinated with chilli & curry powder (it taste like)..  Ta dah!!! here are the juicy BBQ squid!

Daorae is consider a pricey option for meal, our bill comes to about RM120 for 2 person. But its really worth to give it a try~! Hospitalitly is super good also~

My Birthday celebrations

This post is so outdated… Now only I wanna blog about my birthday celebrations everyone did for me.

The first one who celebrated for my of course is my lovely BB.
This is the present that BB bought for me, so nice, I like the casing color so much. I’m not a camera person, it took me so long to figure out all the function and till now I still don’t know which mode to select. I bought this from Shiong Lee Photography shop in One Utama. Some of my friend commented that why do I only ask for a cheap present from boyfriend? 1st of all, I did not ask him to buy me, he volunteer to buy something I need for me and 2nd is, who said that a boyfriend must buy expensive stuff? What is considered as a really WOW birthday present? Those who commented it? Did your BF give you a bungalow or sport car as present?  For me, his heart counts most…

We went to Sunway Pyramid for dinner and celebration. BB ask me to choose a place to have our dinner, at first I wanted to go to Magical Theatre but only found out it has closed. For those who don’t know, Magical Theatre Restaurant besides serving Western cuisine, what’s so special about it is, they have magicians who work there and performing some magic tricks for you. How nice would it be if I could celebrate my birthday in a magical environment???  But end up all Restaurants that I chosen on the directory list are moved or closed. So, end up we have to makan at TGI Fridays.

I ordered a cocktail call November Sea breeze but I jokingly wanted to change it to April Sea Breeze.. hahahahaha, And bb as usual, order his favorite, Heineken Beer. For Food, I order the Jack Daniel’s chicken and shrimp and BB is a red meat eater, he of course ordered Jack Daniel’s steak medium rare… yeeeeeee… We were chatting happily and waiting for our food. Cam whoring a bit to try out my new TOY, My new Olympus camera…

BB pre arranged with the staff there to give me a surprise cake. There are a group of their friendly and sporting staff who brought me this Chocolate Ice cream cake. They make me stand on the chair because according to the TGIF culture, everyone dining at the same atmosphere must bless a birthday boy/ girl~!!!

Ist candle of the Year
I was given tomato ketchup as a microphone to give my Birthday speech. When asked what is my wish, I jokingly answered that I want to become boss of TGIF… hahahaha… BB was right; I’m really a naughty girl. They lit up the candle on my cake and want me to blow it using a straw from far distance… OMG~!!!! That’s really tough… after a few tries luckily I’m able to do it. Phewwww!!! And after the birthday song from the TGIF gang, BB give me a birthday kiss infront of everyone… hahahah, so sweet!!!

The next celebration was arranged by my colleagues. We ordered pizza as lunch and they prepare a small slice of coffee cheesecake for me… Thanks guys!!!! This celebration has nothing really special to shout about, its just a more relaxing lunch together with everyone and the birthday girl get a cake…

Weeeeee~!!! 2nd candle of the year

More exciting activities were plan on tonight. As me and Cat’s birthday are quite close, we plan to have a drinking session at Luna Bar. Luna Bar is located on the rooftop of Pacific Regency Hotel next to Menara Pan Global in KL. I’ve wanted to go there since so long…  After work, I head straight to meet up with Cat at Hartamas, just dunno why, no matter how many times I’ve been to her place, I still can’t remember the correct direction. Yen was waiting for us at her place, we just quickly take a shower and dress up for our night out!!! 3 of us reached there about 8.30pm and I was intro to CM for the first time. We ordered some snack food and cocktail. Me, as usual, ordered my Shangria… Sharon and her boyfriend reach not long after that. It has been so long I never see Sharon, I guess for about a year plus.. Cat’s college mate join in last to our group.. Later when everyone reached, they start to order bottle liquor. The whole night out was abit boring to me, as people all thought it was Cat’s birthday. Yen was busy chatting with CM whole night long, Cat pulak busy with her college mate David & Gang, Sharon also lovingly chatting with her bf…. Awwwwww… I’m so left out there!!! So, I just sms my BB lor…  Of course that night we had a lot of cam whoring session.. hahahaha.. BB said its dangerous for me to drive back so late and I have to over night at Cat’s place.

Our gang of the night.
The next day I leave Cat’s house quite early, and go for a simple breakfast with BB near my house and show him the photo we taken… and continue my day sleeping like a piggie! Wake up in the evening and go over to Sister’s place. She just got back from States and bought me a coach bag and Polo Ralph Lauren T-shirt for present. Thank you sis!

Sunday 19/4 is my actual birth date, Mummy give me an Ang pow as usual every year. Today I’ve made reservation for buffet lunch with Zee Yin and Ah Boon at this Authentic Japanese Restaurant called Umai-ya at Damasara Perdana. Actually I’ve been to Umaiya while I was working with Toona, but I only got to know about their free flow beer Japanese lunch buffet from a friend recently and thought of going there for a try.

The buffet only cost RM48++ per person for a 3 hours buffet and free flow of beer!! Wow! That’s really worth it for beer drinker like us. I drive down to Klang to pick Zee Yin cause she’s 8 months pregnant and its not convenient for her to drive up all the way for lunch. Luckily I’ve made reservation, the restaurant are crowded, a group of aunties without reservation just have to walk away with disappointment!!!

The buffet is not serving all on the buffet table; you will be given a list of food, and what you could do is tick on the food you wanted to order and pass it to the crew, like this it’ll be no wastage of the food!!

We tried most of the everything… Hand rolls, my favorite baby octopus!!, another nice appetizer to try is the braised tofu soak in their clear sauce. Only me and Boon take the sashimi, Zee Yin dare not eat raw meat! I order this Dragon roll and then found out that its Unagi filled roll. My first time eating Unagi and I can tell you I DUN LIKE IT!!! It taste weird, the meat doesn’t taste like normal fish, it feels like Jelly with fishy smell… so, I leave it to them to finish it.
Before Ah Boon reach i pose and take photo with my food
So, this is it.. Soft shell crab handroll, potato salad, sesame roll, and braised baby octopus~!!
The yucky dragon roll with Unagi inside~

Ah boon & Me.

We ordered Teriyaki squid and chicken, sukiyaki and also cold soba. There’s a story for my first soba experience which BB always laugh at me. The first time I had my cold Japanese noodle was when I am in Phuket few years back. Me and mum went to this Japanese fast food chain called Oishi in Central mall. I ordered a cold soba. It was served on a Japanese square bowl layer with a bamboo drainer; the sauce was served separately in another small bowl. It was my first time eating Cold noodle, I have no idea how to eat it, I just try to be smart and pour the sauce into the bowl with drainer. Of course the soups flows out from the drainer, and I still didn’t realize that the way to eat it was wrong, and just eat the drain tasteless soba!!!
Yaki tori fight~!

Soba cold noodle and its story
Fav~! Sukiyaki pot
The full course Japanese lunch of course have to end with their super duper nice Green Tea Ice crème. The interior of Umaiya is also well decorated.  Overall, I should rate this buffet are definitely worth for money. It has been so long I didn’t go for buffet; I miss my buffet kaki Aw yong, Zee Yin and Pei Yee. While we were still working for Toona, we used to go for buffet very often to release our stress and of course, we really enjoy eating a lot!

Some creative photgraphy shot of Boon
My best ever colleagues (ex colleagues now) cum buffet kaki, the other one lost in China

After the dinner, I have to sent Zee Yin back to Klang. I drop by at “God of Gamble” shop for a short chit chat with Heen Yee and got a free birthday Chinese tea ice from God of Gamble~! Thank you, very generous of you.

The last birthday celebration was with my family. We went to 天天来 Restaurant in Mentari Sunway for Dinner. My Bro and Sis didn’t join us as Bro wants to go out with his friend and my sis wants to sleep. So bad of them! I drove mum and dad and Howard to Sunway. I like this Restaurant a lot as the food is consider delicious and the price is really reasonable.

Mummy & Game boy Howard waiting for food

We ordered a pot of Shark fin soup for each of us, a herbal chicken, Fu Yong Omelet, Sambal fried kang kong, and Kam Heong fried crab. Howard insisted to eat Cantonese Fried Kuey Teow, so we just order one for him. These dishes are too much for 3 person consumption and we tapao back for sis and Bro.

I stop by at SS15, Subang Jaya, me, mum and Howard went to choose a cake for me. Howard somehow just thought that the celebration is for him and he chose a blueberry mousse cake and insisted he wants 3 candles. Kids are really cute! Every birthday cake in my family gotta share with Howard, cause he’s everybody little prince in my family! He’s so sweet, he bought me a candy for my birthday present! Love you Howard!
